Resume Design

Put your resume - and yourself - to work!

No matter what level you are in your career, The Grammar Doctor will work with you to design a resume that will float to the top of the interview stack and showcase your relevant skills, talents, and accomplishments to a prospective employer.

"Amanda worked with me to develop two versions of my resume, along with a cover letter. I was impressed with her great attention to detail and her ability to identify my skills to put on my resume. She has the ability to construct resumes to make the greatest impact. Her prices are very reasonable and well worth the service provided." - A. H., project manager in Scottsdale, AZ

"You definitely were on the right track with the follow-up letter; I received four calls the next day!" - E. E., investment manager in Philadelphia, PA

"During the interview, they said they had only chosen three resumes from their pile to call in - and they chose the resume you wrote!" - J. L., network administrator in Tempe, AZ

The Process
If you're ready to get serious about your job search, you've come to the right place. The Grammar Doctor specializes in collaboration on resumes, working with you in person or via phone and e-mail to learn more about you as a person and the accomplishments you've had during the course of your career. Using techniques acquired throughout 10+ years in the industry, as well as calling on experience in marketing, writing, and hiring, TGD knows what will set you apart during the initial screening process.

Once I receive your current resume, I will rework it in a way that makes sense to the reader and is aesthetically pleasing - which typically leaves quite a number of holes in the document. This initial, gratis resume will be returned to you along with a contract and invoice. Once the contract is returned and invoice remitted, we will schedule roughly one hour to speak about you, what you hope to be when you grow up, and the things you've already accomplished to set yourself apart.

The Difference
As you're looking at colleagues who also write, edit, or create resumes (which I hope you do!), you'll find there are all kinds of writers. What you might find with others, which you will not find with TGD, is a form or questionnaire to fill out from which your resume is written. In line with that, you also won't find a $50 resume with TGD, because we will take the time that is needed to best represent you on paper, sharing information, thoughts, and drafts until you're satisfied. Many clients become future colleagues and friends because they feel valued in this process and empowered to learn of all the wonderful achievements they've had across their careers.
