The Grammar Doctor is a boutique firm that partners with clients to create and edit marketing materials. Started by Amanda Collins in 2006 and based in Phoenix, Arizona, The Grammar Doctor works with clients around the country to present them in the best possible light to prospective clients and employers.

Amanda has been playing with words and grammar since she was a child. She began writing resumes professionally in 1996 while also working in higher education marketing, creating effective marketing copy as well as proofreading and editing colleagues' work. She is an educator at heart and enjoys empowering clients through building long-term, professional relationships.

A marketing maven, Amanda has a thematic approach to her business, appearing at networking events in a costume of scrubs, lab coat, and stethoscope, and meets all clients with a first aid kit with all their correction needs. She always carries her prescription pad with her for any spelling and grammar emergencies.

Amanda stays current with marketing and resume trends through strategic partnerships with business developers and coaches, graphic designers, and HR and staffing professionals, and through membership in the Resume Writers' Council of Arizona and Network Employment and Training Professionals Association. Amanda has training as a career counselor and is currently considering pursuing a master's degree in professional writing, if she can find a time when she's not working with clients or enjoying time with her young son and dog in their home in Phoenix, Arizona.
